I never really liked shopping up until I knew that I could do it online.
Since then, I have been an active online shopper and eventually created my own online shop, Cebu Online Shopper.

Here are some of the reasons why I love shopping stuffs online.

Shopping at the comfort of my own home.
I hate going to crowded places with people pushing around. This has become one of the main reasons why I never liked going to department stores.

But with online shopping, I could just lie around at home (or basically anywhere) and browse stuffs using my computer or even with just my phone.

Comparing prices is easier.
Sometimes, some stores have much cheaper prices for a similar item than with the other stores.
I find it a hassle to go over these stores and go back to that one store that has the lowest price.

In online shopping, it is easier to compare prices as I could visit two or more stores at the same time.

Shop items from different parts of the country.
It is a great way to check for items that are not yet available in my local area.

As of this writing, I was able to buy items from Manila, Cavite and Paranaque without having to go to the said places.

Different brands in one store.
Through online shopping, I can choose items of different brands with just a single online shop, such as Zalora which offers a wide range of fashionable clothing from different brands.

Easily sort out depending on my preference.
When shopping, I always look for items with the lowest prices first.

This feature is offered by some online retailers wherein I could choose to sort items by their prices, by popularity, by discounts or even sort by new arrivals.

A gift from me to me.
One of the joys of online shopping is when your package arrives, it feels as if I just received a gift from myself. The excitement of unpacking is there.

Special discounts.
By special discounts, I meant the ones that could only be obtained when one has a promo code.
It is not available for everyone, but the feeling of being able to avail of such a discount is something.

Buy, sell and swap.
Online shopping is not limited to just buying and selling items. It is also open for swaps!

I, myself, had already done a lot of swapping transactions wherein I exchange my item with another item from a different shop.

Opportunity to have an online business.
Because of online shopping, I was inspired to start my own online business as well. Some online shops, like Instant Fashion Business, offers reselling opportunities with a minimum or no capital at all.

There are a lots of pro's to online shopping! But online shopping also requires one to be very vigilant and careful with making transactions online.

I would always check feedback and reviews before purchasing anything online and even frequently checks #bogusph on Instagram.

Online shopping is fun! But make sure it is also safe.

Date of dream: October 31, 2014

The city.

I was driving on my way to Ayala.
I was coming from the south and had to take the highway route.

I remember that I had to take one left turn in order to reach my destination.
I just kept on driving and driving.
I still haven't seen the turn.

I decided to go back, maybe I had not noticed it.

Still driving.. and driving.. and driving.

But I still cannot see the turn.

That's when I realized I was lost.

I just kept on going on, hoping I could reach some place familiar.
Well, at that stage, I was not driving anymore - I was already walking.

I continued to walk.

I noticed a very small road, something only one person could enter.
Maybe that's why in my dream, I had to lose my car.

I decided to walk myself towards there.

I noticed that the road is going uphill.

Upon walking, I found it much "greener".
It seems just like what "probinsyas" would look like.

There was this part with a gate.
I tried getting myself in but it seems I am not allowed.

I continued walking up.. and up.

There was this unexplainable joy.

A feeling of peace.

Even if it seems I was the only person there, I was not lonely.

There were no worries.

I was secured.

That moment a thought came into me.

"Tell the Lord what you desire."

I then found myself speaking of all things I usually pray for.

I was speaking of my family, of world peace, of equality of men, women, rich and poor, and all other things I have not realized I may have secretly desired.

When I finished, I found myself on the very top of this mysterious hill.

I saw the whole city.

It seems I am on top of it all.

I am no longer lost.

I began walking downhill so I could go back to the city.

Suddenly, some inner voice tells me, "Do not forget."

I stopped before reaching the city grounds.

It's as if the feeling of getting back to reality suddenly struck me.

I want to turn around and go back to the hill.

I turned back.

And then...


I woke up.

Is the person you are dating now the one you want to spend your lifetime with?

A dream.

I was walking on a cemented ground and on my left side was the beach. It looks so beautiful, though the ocean really seems empty (no ship or boats).
The horizon was very clear and the color of the ocean was light blue (not the usual dark blue).

There were four people kneeling on the cemented ground - three adults and one boy. They were like laying some stuffs on the ground like dried fish and shells.

As I was walking, I noticed some puddles on the cemented ground. The water on those spots were really very beautiful and I could see the reflection of the sky and myself. I decided to take out my iPod Touch to post a picture in Instagram. At the same time, a thought came into me that I should just borrow my boyf's phone since it has a better cam.

Just when I was about to take a picture, a naughty little girl just appeared and begin pushing me into the water.

I was running away and she kept on chasing me. Later on I just realized this is my older brother's daughter.

While I was being chased, the cemented ground turns into this kind of shape - # (the lines are the cemented ground and the spaces are water pools - uhm. just imagine the rice field)

The ocean is no longer there but the change of setting did not really bothered me in my dream, because... well, it's a dream!

Until a saw a small two-storey nipa hut.
My Uncle was standing by the door.
(Note: He is the deceased stepfather of my brother)

I just said "Uncle ou!" pointing at my naughty niece who was chasing me.

I entered the nipa hut and my uncle hugged my niece, so she stopped chasing me. I just went upstairs where I saw my parents who were changing clothes because they would want to go for a swim.

And then I woke up.

I remember the times I was new to riding a jeepney. I could not even understand what 13C, 62B, 04L stands for! I thought those were like organization or garage numbers.

Now, it has become my primary means of transportation especially if the family car isn't available.

While riding a jeepney, I get to meet a lot of different people. Here are some of them.

The "I-Can't-Put-My-Phone-Down" Guy
These people are on their phones the whole ride! They could be texting, playing, or calling someone from the time they rode the jeepney until they get off.

The Spy
This is the kind of people who reads text messages of people beside them.

The "I-Don't-Care-If-You're-There" Girl
These are usually girls who don't care if they are already leaning on you as long as they sit comfortably while facing front.

The Music Lover
Earphones on. World off.

The Deaf
Hand them the fare and they'll pretend they can't hear you.

The Performers
They ride the jeepney saying they don't have ill intentions, then they start singing.

The Hangers
These people are really just the "kapyot" guys.

The Little Drummer Boy
These are music lovers who can't resist from hitting those imaginary drums.

The Sleepy-Heads
These are people who are asleep while riding the jeepney.

The Loud Crowd
This is a group of people who are having their loud chit-chats and laughs as if they are the only people inside.

The Criminal Minds
They have ill plans of taking someone else's belongings while inside the jeepney.

The Shawarma
Smells like shawarma.

These are just some of the people I get to see while riding a jeepney.

There's a new craze in town: TUSLOB BUWA.

Tuslob Buwa experience during our barkada outing (2009).

Actually, tuslob buwa has already been around for years.
I even wished there'd be tuslob buwa businesses everywhere!
Now, I wish I never made that wish! -,-

I could still remember I posted one tuslob buwa post way back 2011.

Anyways, to be honest, I'm quite disappointed with my experience on one of these new tuslob buwa businesses.
They served us with pig brain and liver that is so dry!
And there are more liver than pig brain.
And it's also frustrating to see people saying they'll never have tuslob buwa again but they never really knew how to cook tuslob buwa.

I recalled some group who had three orders, cooked everything once, let it cool and eat. MYGHAD! That's NOT tuslob buwa.

So if you wanted to have a REAL TUSLOB BUWA experience, go to Pasil.

Well, if you want to have tuslob buwa in your own homes, here's what you need. (we used to do this every time we have outings and events)

Ingredients

* Pig Brain - We used to buy pig brains on Carbon for only Php10-Php20. I am not really sure how much it costs now that pig brains are in demand.

* Pig Liver - Just a really small amount to mix with the pig brain.

* Oil from Pork - This is still available in Carbon. This is to be used just like cooking oil.

* Marrow Bones - This will be used for the "soup". If not available, may use corn starch, knorr cubes and/or other seasonings.

* Seasonings (ie. soy sauce) - This includes seasonings to season the pig brain with. In our case, we often request the pig brain and liver already seasoned and we will get it the next day.
You may ask for instructions on how to do the cleaning and seasoning from the vendor just like what a couple of my friends did.

What to Prepare

* Small frying pan
* Hanging rice / puso
* Pot for the soup
* Tablespoon

Steps

1. Pig brain and liver should already be seasoned.
2. Boil the marrow bones ahead of time. (NOTE: Only the soup will be used) If there is no marrow bone, follow the steps below:
   a. Boil water.
   b. Put in some knorr cubes (beef).
   c. Add cornstarch.
   d. Mix until it's a little viscous.
3. Once the pig brain and liver is ready, heat the frying pan.
4. Add pork oil when frying pan is already hot enough.
5. Put pig brain and liver on the frying pan using the tablespoon. How much to place depends on your preference.
6. Add the soup using a ladle. How much to put depends on how much pig brain and liver you placed.
7. Add seasonings based on your preference. As for us, we only add soy sauce. Some would add hipon. For those who want to add onions, you may put them before the pig brain and liver.
8. Get some hanging rice, dip into the frying pan and eat.

Any romantic relationship has its own ups and downs. Problems and challenges are also present and it's up to you to work together to overcome these trials.

Here are some reasons why you should never get back together.

Constant On's and Off's
Everytime one or both of you is mad, you decide to break up. And when you get back together, you know you'll just break up again.

One-sided Intentions
You or your partner decides to stay because it is beneficial for you or him/her. (ie., money, fame, you-know-what).

Same Mistake for the nth Time
You forgave your partner once. You forgave him/her again the second time for the same mistake. And now s/he has done it again for the third time.

Purely Title.. or Physical
You're just in a relationship by name. No emotions involved.

Quantity Over Quality
You just stayed in a relationship because you were together for a very long time.. even if the feeling has long left you.

Unhealthy Relationship
You and your partner are all fights and quarrels that both of you haven't grown up in your relationship.

Not Happy
Well, simple. The relationship isn't making you happy at all.

These are just some of the reasons why you should not get back together.

But hey! There are A LOT MORE reasons to stay if you really love the person.

So if you think your partner is worth all the hardships, why give up? ;)

In a world filled with romantic movies, TV shows and books, almost everyone wants to experience being in a relationship. A lot wants to experience being in love and being loved in return. 

Yet, a lot of people still remain single.

A toast for all the single ladies and gents out there!

Here are some reasons why some people are not committed to a relationship yet.

Waiting for a Movie-kind of Love Story
Some people are too dreamy. They  wanted their special someones and their love stories to be exactly the same with the one from the movies.

Crush Has Someone Else
Basically, some remain single because the ones they wanted to end up with is in a relationship with someone else.

Friendzoned
The love of their lives can't see them anything more than really good friends.

"Unofficially Yours"
People just settle with the "fling"-thing. No commitments.

Not Over It
While some are excited to meet someone in the future, others are still looking back, wanting to relive the past.

In a Fictional Relationship
This is different from people waiting for their own movie love story. These people are so in love with their idols that they can't be committed to anybody else.

Silently Waiting
Some people remain single because they're waiting for that someone (who they don't even talk to) to notice them.

No Apple in the Eye... yet!
This may be the simplest reason. One does not like anyone as of the moment.

One-sided
Or this could also be another of those simplest reasons - their special someones don't feel the same way for them.

Inlove with Fam and Friends
Who needs a boyf or a girlf if there is already too much love coming from family and friends!

Busy with School / Career
For the busy bees, there is just no more time for loveydovey.

Too Many Choices
Why stick with one when you can date them all?

Traumatized
Some people are afraid to be in a relationship maybe because they are afraid of getting hurt *again*.

These are just some of the reasons why people are single. 

And no, I'm not saying being single is a bad thing. 
In fact, there is NOTHING wrong with being single! 

One can always find happiness and love even if they are not with their significant others yet. And it is really important to be happy with oneself rather than depending one's happiness on others.

So yay! Be happy! Enjoy the single life! Don't rush love because they'll come in God's time. And when that happens, stay happy and in love! ;)

We are not the "touchy" kind of friends.

We prefer being harsh and honest, though trying hard not to be tactless.
We call each other stupid names without getting insulted.

We might not share all our secrets.. and everyone respects that.
We may have girl and guy troubles but we don't really take sides.
We can't give the best of advices...
Nevertheless, we are always there to hear each one out.

We never see each other often.
We have not even talked for a while.
But once we meet, we always relive memories, as if they happened not so long ago.

We are the kind of friends who are not always physically available.
The kind wherein we don't need to get updated up to the littlest detail of each other's lives.

But no matter the distance or the time, we know we still always have each other. (:
That's just the kind of friends we are.
